Beach Party 2018 LHS All Night Graduation Party – A Night to Remember

Lexington High School's Class of 2018 capped off their June 3rd Graduation Day with the 32nd annual All Night Graduation Party in the magically transformed LHS Field House offering this year’s graduates the Summer Beach Party of a lifetime!

From the beach cabana entryway, to swaying palm trees, a life-size lifeguard station to towering beach ball columns, seashell and sand themed crafts and an all-night Snack Shack overflowing with our community’s culinary contributions, the LHS Class of 2018 started their summer vacation in true Beach style.

The night passed quickly for everyone with 5 a.m. arriving far too soon. The Lexington Schools Celebration Committee would like to thank our generous extended community for its continued support.  The party is wonderful gift we offer each graduating Lexington High class thanks to the many volunteers.

Over 300 8th – 12th grade parent volunteers came together to create this memorable and safe send-off for our seniors.  We also want to acknowledge the following school and town personnel for their incredible efforts:  Andrew Stephens, LHS Principal; Julie LaLumiere, Office Manager/ Assistant to Principal; John Murray, Associate Principal, Martha Queenin, Senior Class Advisor, Chris Bouchard, LHS Facility Manager; the LHS Custodial Staff, Main Office and Nursing Staffs, PTO Board and the Lexington Fire and Police Departments.

Donations still being accepted through end of school year at   LexingtonANGP.weebly.com.

Your efforts and donations are greatly appreciated and gratefully acknowledged by the graduating class of 2018.  Congratulations Class of 2018!

Don't Forget the LEF STAR Awards!

You can also thank other important faculty and staff: school aides, librarians, administrators, nurses, counselors, coaches. So many people do so much for our kids—let’s show them our appreciation. For a contribution of $30 or more, (or $60+ for a teaching team), a personalized STAR certificate will be delivered to any current or former teacher/staff member at any Lexington public school. Sponsored by Lexington Education Foundation (LEF), the STAR award is a meaningful gift, and proceeds go to our children and schools through LEF grants.

COMMUNITY NEWS & EVENTS

TONIGHT AND SATURDAY!  PATIENCE AT FOLLEN COMMUNITY CHURCH!
Friday and Saturday, June 8 and 9, at 8:00 p.m.
Follen Church, 755 Mass. Ave., Lexington
Tickets $15 from brownpapertickets.com or at door.

Come be enchanted by the forty youth, ages 8-18, of Follen Church as they sing and act their way through Gilbert & Sullivan’s satirical and funny operetta, Patience.

Patience is a playful comedy that pokes fun at the societal fads we all fall sway to at one point or another. If you’ve ever gone for that perm whole hog, or caved to buy your first pair of jeggings, you’ll be able to identify with the maidens of Patience’s world. Set in the late 1800’s, the townspeople and guards swirl around in a tizzy over a ridiculous poet and his fervently unrequited love interest, all the while making well-deserved fun of the so-called “aesthetic” movement of the time.
