Snow date: TBD

Formerly Junior Parent/Guardian Night

Of the approximately 3,500 accredited colleges and universities in the U.S., only about 50 of them are considered highly selective. These are schools that typically admit fewer than 25% of all their applicants. With competition is as keen as it is at these highly selective colleges, it is important to understand the factors that play a role in the admissions process. This presentation will review the nuances of the selective college admissions process including relevant statistics, current trends in college admissions, and recommendations for students who will navigate the terrain of selective college admissions.

Presenter: John Mahoney, Director of Admission, Boston College
Location: Auditorium

SENIOR CLASS OF 2018 SHIRTS ORDER FORM - LAST CHANCE!

The SENIOR CLASS is selling long sleeve tee shirts. This will be the only class shirt that we will sell this year. Many seniors thought it made sense to have this posted in case parents or guardians wanted to place an order for their senior. We will receive orders until the end of the week.
Feel free to print out order form (https://goo.gl/PL46k5) and return to me and I will place the order: mqueenin@lexingtonma.org

Best,
Martha Queenin (Class Advisor)  and the Senior Class Council

Be A Fine Arts Volunteer!

The LHS Performing Arts Department is looking for parent volunteers in the following roles:

Program Design and Layout - LHS puts on a large number of concerts each year, and many of them have programs. Information to be included in the program would be provided by the ensemble directors prior to the concerts. Task would involve creating a design for each program and then inputting all of the information for the musical selections as well as the performers.

Website Design/Maintenance - We have a new Performing Arts website, but we are looking for a parent willing to help add additional content and also to assist with keeping it updated.

Both of these roles can be done from home and at times when it is convenient for you. We know that there is a great deal of talent in the parent community, and we are hoping to find people willing to use theirs to help us out.  If you are interested please contact Dr. Ida Pappas, Performing Arts Coordinator at IPappas@lexingtonma.org
