Newcomers' Potluck dinner at LHS- Sept 6th 2017
When: September 6th, 6PM-8PM
Where: LHS, Commons 2

The Lexington High School PTO invites new students and their families to a gathering at the high school to meet other new families. If you are new to Lexington or new to the Lexington Public Schools (coming from a private school), please join us for a Newcomers’ Potluck from 6:00 to 8:00 on September 6 in Commons 2 at the high school. There will be several parents there to greet you and answer your questions, and you will hear briefly from our new principal, our associate principal; director of guidance, students from NEXXUS (the newcomers’ club at the high school), the Lexington Newcomers’ Club, and the PTO president.

Main dishes and drinks will be provided, but please bring a dish to share: if your student’s last name begins with the letter A-L, please bring a salad; if your student’s last name begins with the letter M-Z, please bring a dessert.

LHS Parent Discussion Group
When: Thursday, September 7, 7:45 am
Where: Library Media Center, hosted by Associate Principal John Murray.

All LHS parents are invited to attend the first meeting of the LHS Parent Discussion Group on Thursday, September 7, 7:45 – 8:40 am in the Library Media Center (Room 149) at LHS.  Associate Principal John Murray will host the meeting, so come join us with your back to school questions and hear about what's new at LHS this year!

September 14--No regular meeting. Meet at Panera at about 9am (after the LHS Principal Coffee).
September 21--No regular meeting due to school holiday. Meet at Panera 9am.
September 28--First regular meeting 8am at the Community Center.

The Parent Discussion Group is a support group for parents of Lexington High School students. The purpose of the group is to enable parents to support each other as they help their children learn, grow, and experience success at LHS. During the school year, meetings are held weekly on Thursday mornings. Once a month, the group meets at 7:45am at LHS, hosted by Associate Principal John Murray. On all other Thursdays the group meets at 8:00am at the Lexington Community Center, 39 Marrett Road (parent-run). Meetings typically include a main topic followed by open discussion on themes related to LHS. All parents of LHS students are welcome to attend as their schedules permit.

Contact Suzanne Lau (Suzanne_lau_65@yahoo.com) or Elise Rowley (elise@rowleyhome.com) for information or to join the email list.
