Life After LHS – Forum on Returning College Students, Their Experiences and Advice to Current LHS Parents and Students
Location: IDLC/ Science Lecture Hall
Date: Wednesday, January 3rd 2018
Time: 6:30 to 8:30 pm

High school is considered a gateway to the future. Come and hear how these college or gap year students have seized new opportunities and learn how LHS prepared them for different paths. Our panel will consist of former LHS students attending different types of colleges, playing sports, joining music groups and taking gap years. This forum is perfect for juniors and seniors, though all are welcome.  We would like to encourage parents and guardians to bring their students to this event.

Email Forums@lhspto.org for any questions about the event and please bring your questions along for the panelists.

SENIOR CLASS OF 2018 SHIRTS ORDER FORM

The SENIOR CLASS is selling long sleeve tee shirts. This will be the only class shirt that we will sell this year. Many seniors thought it made sense to have this posted in case parents or guardians wanted to place an order for their senior.
Feel free to print out order form (https://goo.gl/PL46k5) and return to me and I will place the order.

Best,
Martha Queenin (Class Advisor)  and the Senior Class Council

Be A Fine Arts Volunteer!

The LHS Performing Arts Department is looking for parent volunteers in the following roles:

Program Design and Layout - LHS puts on a large number of concerts each year, and many of them have programs. Information to be included in the program would be provided by the ensemble directors prior to the concerts. Task would involve creating a design for each program and then inputting all of the information for the musical selections as well as the performers.

Website Design/Maintenance - We have a new Performing Arts website, but we are looking for a parent willing to help add additional content and also to assist with keeping it updated.

Both of these roles can be done from home and at times when it is convenient for you. We know that there is a great deal of talent in the parent community, and we are hoping to find people willing to use theirs to help us out.  If you are interested please contact Dr. Ida Pappas, Performing Arts Coordinator at IPappas@lexingtonma.org

LHS Performing Arts

Don't Miss Out - Register for Boys & Girls Spring Lacrosse Now!

There are 3 things you should know about the sport of LACROSSE:

1. LACROSSE is known as the “Fastest Sport on Two Feet”
2. LACROSSE is the fastest growing sport in the US
3. Registration for spring LACROSSE is only open for a few more weeks at www.lexingtonlax.org

Lexington Youth Lacrosse is open to all skill levels, has both a boy’s and girl’s program, and is organized into divisions by age: Grade 1, Grade 2, Under 11 (3rd & 4th) , Under 13 (5th & 6th), and Under 15 (7th & 8th).

Our program is dedicated to introducing, teaching, and expanding youth lacrosse through our integrated and age based programs, which provide a fun, competitive, and instructional environment.

Lacrosse is complementary to soccer, hockey, and basketball, as it is a continuous-play team sport that reinforces and advances common offensive and defensive concepts.

Too often we hear parents say they don’t know the sport so they never introduced it to their children. You don’t have to know the sport – that’s what Lexington Youth Lacrosse is here for!

DON’T MISS OUT - REGISTER FOR SPRING LACROSSE NOW!
