PTO Forum: Success at LHS – The Role of the Counseling Department in the Social and Emotional Well-Being of Our Students
** Meet our New Assistant Director of Counseling
When: November 29th, 6:30-8‬:00 pm
Where: LHS, Science Lecture Hall

Is your student shy?  Perhaps they are not so comfortable asking for help?  Are they facing social issues or struggling with other aspects of student life?  Lexington High School continues to make emotional well-being of students a priority. With high level visioning, planning and interactions with students, the counseling department works daily to support and empower students. The goal is a successful journey for students at LHS. This important session will feature our new Asst. Director of Counseling, Stacy Glickman.  She will outline the work of the Counseling Department, go through grade level social and emotional targets and highlight how students learn to advocate for themselves in all types of situations. Please join us ‪on November 29th from 6:30-8‬:00 pm in the Independent Learning Center in the science building (formerly called Science Lecture Hall).‬

This is the first of our annual forums offered to the LHS parent and guardian community. We will be including many topics parents have asked for in our recent PTO Forum survey.  Please be on the lookout for future sessions on relevant topics.

YES! For Lexington
www.yes4lex.org

This December, Lexington voters will be asked to approve funding for the construction of three capital projects:
Maria Hastings Elementary School - Lexington Children’s Place (Pre-K) - Fire Station Headquarters

These vital facilities are all operating in substandard buildings that are too small to handle the current and future needs of Lexington. Investing in these projects will improve the education system and public safety for all of Lexington.

The YES! Campaign needs your help to: • Raise awareness about the December vote • Educate our community about these projects • Encourage Lexington to vote YES! in December.

The LHS PTO endorses the campaign and will be making a donation to the Yes! For Lexington campaign.

Lexington Ski Club

For almost fifty years the Lexington Ski Club has catered to avid snow sport families. Members enjoy comfortable accommodations at our lodge located in the White Mountains, prepared hot meals during ski season, and after ski activities such as board games and ping pong.  If your family likes to ski or snowboard and appreciates cooperative living, the Lexington Ski Club might be for you.  Currently, we are accepting applications for new members.  For additional information, please contact Joe Scholl at jpscholl4@gmail.com or ‪781-891-1832‬‬ or visit our website www.lexski.org.
